A Letter from Autumn
My name is Autumn Kohlhagen, and I am an 11-year-old kart racer from North Carolina. I first discovered racing when I started karting indoors at age 10. What began as something fun quickly became a passion. From the moment I got behind the wheel, I knew I wanted to keep improving, learning, and pushing myself to become the best driver I could be.
Since then, I have worked hard to grow as a racer. I have earned multiple podium finishes, competed in championship events, and successfully transitioned from indoor racing to outdoor competition. Every race teaches me something new, and every challenge makes me more determined to improve.
One of the things I am most proud of is that I never give up. Racing is not always easy. There are good days and difficult days, but I believe that hard work, perseverance, and a positive attitude are what help people reach their goals.

Beyond the Track
Racing Through Every Challenge
In addition to racing, Autumn faces challenges that many people never see. She lives with Primary Immunodeficiency and receives regular treatments to help keep her healthy. While there have been times when medical appointments, illnesses, and setbacks could have slowed her down, they have instead taught her resilience, gratitude, and the importance of making every opportunity count.

Autumn's goal is to compete at the highest levels of karting, including club, regional, and national championships. She is now preparing to enter the highly competitive world of 2-stroke kart racing, where the level of competition — and the costs — are much higher.
